after all the hype and hoopla about SRK's "my name is khan" got released. If you ask me, it was possibly the smartest publicity stunt ever done for bollywood. With both K JO and Sena having achieved what the wanted, it was the moment of truth for SRK fans. The movie was lapped up by all film crazy Indians and Pakistanis all over the world.
I, equally moved by the pre-release plight of SRK, joined the millions on the first weekend contributing equivalent of 6 USD, expecting a winner over the likes of 3 Idiots or Ishqueea. What a dissapointment! a movie full of flaws, bad ( rather, over) acting, cliches, inane situations and running into almost 3 hours. Why on earth a movie like this fetch a cool 25 crores in its first weekend? What is so soul stirring in SRK traversing through entire length ( or breadth?) of US to tell the American president that his name is khan and he is not a terrorist? why cant we the urban Indian movie lovers expect Karan Johar to estimate our intelligence correctly?
I am aghast!!!
